Perhaps, Nayanatara is one of the few lucky ones who seems to be setting forth with even greater boldness after the devastating effect she recently suffered after her break-up with Prabhu Deva. Having won the prestigious Nandi for her Sita's role in SRR, she is poised to win our accolades as Devika in Krish's KVJ.

Turned voluptuous in Ghajini, she lost no time to prove that she is talented with her subsequent work.

Nayan's body of work in Telugu is not brilliant - qualitatively and quantitatively. But, she has been able to leave her mark in Telugu with the few films that she has done over the past few years. Lakshmi and Boss (2005), with Venkatesh and Nagarjuna respectively, gave her the right fillip. Yogi and Dubai Seenu (2006) with Prabhas and Ravi Teja respectively, did her help her promotion but they consolidated her image as a glamour diva in the industry. Nothing did her more good than the role sketched by Bapu and made possible for her by Balakrishna.

Thulasi and Anjaneyulu were not too great boosters. So also Adurs (2009), though she was seen with Junior NTR in the big Sankranthi release.

Proving her detractors wrong, Nayanatara consolidated her position through Simha (2010) opposite Balakrishna.

In Telugu, besides KVJ she has Nag's film directed by Dasarath. In Tamil, her next releases are Ongaram (KVJ), a Vishnuvardhan film and Arya's Raja Rani.

Indiaglitz wishes her a very happy birthday.
