This birthday must be very special to Sudheer Babu for obvious reasons. In the last one year, the actor has proved more than once that he is ready to push the envelope like only a few are willing to. In June last, it was 'Krishnamma Kalipindi Iddarini', a love story not in the mould of run-of-the-mill commercial romantic flicks, but was a film coming with a distinct temperament. A hero with an image for rom-com entertainers didn't think twice to act in a film offering clean entertainment.

On the other hand, Sudheer bounced back with a hit in 'Bhale Manchi Roju' in December last. By doing a slick crime comedy like this, Sudheer once again proved that he has right attributes to pull off a stylish film - something, again, not many are capable of.

Going a step further, he burst open on the Bollywood screen with an action drama called 'Baaghi' in April. In this Sabbir Khan-directed actioner, Sudheer got to play an intense performance-oriented role, getting critical applause. Grabbing many an eyeball with his macho looks, Sudheer heaved a sigh of relief when his female fans warmed up to baddie's role. The "new baddie in the town" has been offered a handful of films from Bollywood, but as he has told IndiaGlitz, he is not ready to grab any in a hurry. He landed the opportunity when the makers stumbled upon a video of his stunts for his first movie ('SMS'). Going through a rigorous training regimen to learn Kalaripayattu, the traditional martial art from Kerala, Sudheer worked hard for the role. Getting a pat on his back from his proud relative Mahesh Babu, Sudheer is proud himself.

Very few actors are open to do roles with negative shades. As he tells IndiaGlitz, he is ready to evoke just comedy if the role is solid. In the coming months, he is going to essay the role of the Badminton champ Pullela Gopichand. That's how an actor constantly re-invents himself.

Way to go, Sudheer. IndiaGlitz wishes you a very happy birthday and a year of a few more memorable feats.
