One of the most influential personalities of Telugu cinema, superstar Krishna celebrates his birthday today.(Sunday)

This is a very special year for him as he completed 50 years as a lead actor in Tollywood. His first film as hero, 'Tene Manasulu', was released on March 31st, 1965. Known for his brave decisions, Krishna is an actor, who introduced many technologies to Tollywood and used to encourage new talent. He is also the first to have tried Cowboy and James Bond style films. He used to have professional rivalry with NTR and he even locked horns with the legend in politics by joining Congress party.

But Krishna says that NTR and ANR are the actors who inspired him and he learnt a lot, watching them. His son Mahesh Babu is highly successful in the industry and is now one of the top actors in Tollywood. Krishna is very proud of his son's achievements and often says that he wants to see Mahesh as James Bond.
