S J Suryah is celebrating his birthday today. This year marks an interesting development in the career of Suryah, as the actor-director has ventured into music composing. In his forthcoming film 'Isai', which he is directing besides playing the lead role; Suryah is scoring the music as well. The film is fast taking shape and is expected to hit the screens by the end of this year.

Suryah, who started his account in Kollywood with Ajith starrer 'Vaali', followed it up with a blockbuster in 'Kushi', which had Vijay and Jyothika in the lead roles.

Then he ventured into acting by playing lead roles in movies such as 'New', 'Anbe Aaruyire' and 'Kalvanin Kadhali' among others. After a break, he made a comeback by doing a guest appearance in 'Nanban'.

And now, he is shaping up 'Isai'. Interestingly, it was A R Rahman who mooted the idea in Suryah that he could take up music composing, as he is talented in music.
