The 73 years young literary giant of Kannada literature Dr HS Venkatesha Murthy had reasons to smile. He is turning director after writing on reams of paper in his most illustrious career as writer.

The subject Hasiru Ribbon` is from the pages of Dr HSV Anathmakathana` that has social, moral, economic and cultural package in it. The film speaks inside of a heart. Selecting the right path and right issue is very important for life he has observed in this film. The film has urge for greenery in our life. As my daughter in law says I should do a neat film, I would strive to do it he stated smilingly.

The launch of this film Hasiru Ribbon` is a very special day in my life. I wanted all those close to me should be present. I thank everyone for their gracious presence.

For the muhurut shot on Nikil Manjoo and veteran Girija Lokesh, Dr HSV directed the first shot while SV Rajendra Singh Babu KCA chairman sounded clap board. The poster of Hasiru Ribbon` was unveiled by Dr HSV.

On stage Srinivasa Meshtru, Dr Hamsalekha, Dr Srinath, Jayasri, Doddarange Gowda, Jogi expressed curiosity on HSV direction.

In the auditorium best friends of Dr HSV, poets MN Vyasa Rao, BR Lakshman Rao, actor and thinker GK Govinda Rao, literary personality Narahalli Balasubramaniam and many others attended the event that was very special in the life of famous writer Dr HSV.
