P Sunil Kumar Reddy laments the fact that Oka Romantic Crime Katha has been described as an obscene film by some sections. Worse, his attempt has been denigrated as an easy way to make money. The award-winning director yesterday put his case calmly and confidently. "If making money were my aim, I would be doing something else. I have become a filmmaker only because of my love for films. I made Sonta Vooru to tell the audience that the village is dying. Ganga Putrulu was made to sensitise the people about the dying (collective ownership of) water resource. ORCK is meant to tell that our being or existence," he said.

He reasoned that if we watched the film in the right perspective, we would see the lofty intention. Justifying the alleged titillation, he said that it was showing the reality by removing the veil.

D Ramanaidu said that he liked the movie's dialogues. "The film is useful to society. I am happy to see this small film garnering good collections."

PC Reddy, Sagar, T Prasanna Kumar, ML Kumar Chowdhary and others made it to the event.
