This Assembly Election to Rebel star, Kannada cinema artists association President Ambarish who was former union minister of state is not that easy.

The internal party factions and detractors are causing trouble to ‘Dhanashoora Karna’ of Kannada cinema with some of the powerful roles in over 205 films to his credit.

The Congress-I party detractors Atmananda and Ravindra are main blockades to Ambarish in this election. Ambarish stopped the ticket given to Ravindra for Srirangapatna constituency that is near to his Mandya constituency. That was the beginning of big handicap for Ambarish. Ravindra was backed by SM Krishna former chief minister and former Union Minister of foreign affairs. SM Krishna holds a very strong clout and Ambarish waging war against Ravindra – SM Krishna candidate is first insecurity ballooning up for the actor.

In addition to it another strong man Atmananda not given party ticket to contest this time has made him keep quiet. He is a good friend of Ambarish but he is shell shocked for not getting the ticket. He is not ready to campaign for anyone of his boundary. That is another setback for Ambarish.

Ambarish the current Karnataka Pradesh Congress-I Vice President had won the Lok Sabha seat from Mandya in 1998, 1999 and 2994. He contested from Ramanagara assembly segment in 1996 and Srirangapatna in 2008 – lost on both the occasions.

M Srinivas of JDS is the main opponent and he is very strong. Ashok Jayaram son of former minister SD Jayaram is contesting as independent candidate may tilt the votes on sympathy grounds.
