Hema Malini to bag Bharat Muni Samman

Hema Malini, the Dream Girl of B-town and Bharatnatyam diva reported to have been chosen for the prestigious Bharat Muni Samman this year for her outstanding contribution towards promotion of Indian arts and entertainment.

The award will be bestowed upon Hema Malini on 18th December, during the closing ceremony of the 3-day Bharat Muni Festival organised by Kalingayana Touryatrikam in Bhubaneshwar.

Hema Malini will be the fifth recipient of the award, while the earlier recipients include Thankamani Kutty, Pandit Birju Maharaj, Pandit Jasraj and Ratan Thiyam.

Incidentally, the award is named after the eminent author of Natyashastra, Bharat Muni.
