There have been reports that Venkatesh will be doing a period drama revolving around Rajiv Gandhi's murder, with Rana as his co-star. Then there were reports that the Daggubati duo will be doing the remake of the Tamil film 'Vikram Vedha'.

Turns out Venky's next is actually going to be with a debutante director. It will be a Vfx-dominated venture. The actor is pretty happy with the story, which has an animal as a pivotal character.

After working with Sudha Kongara on 'Guru', Venky is once again kind of experimenting. A mainstream rom-com with Kishore Tirumala, the horror-comedy 'Raju Gari Gadhi-2', a film with Puri Jagannadh, among others, were seriously considered by him at one point of time. In the end, he is going to work with a debutante.
