Rashmi Gautham is getting most lucky in her third innings. The talented actress, before debuting on television, had two stints in the last decade with the big screen. But both times, she failed to make a mark. In the third, she made a comeback with Praveen Sattaru's Guntur Talkies. Thus, finally in March 2016, she made her presence felt in a noteworthy way. Of course, this was due in no small measure to the familiarity she gained, especially among the youth, after the very popular TV show Jabardasth, of which she is a host.

Three months later, she is back today with yet another film. Antham, an A-rated film, casts her in the role of a newly-wed wife, who, along with her husband, has to confront a mystery after some eerie incidents take place in life. Touted as an independent film, the film has gotten lucky to be releasing in 300 theatres across AP, Telangana and Karnataka. This has been possible because the slot is free this season with no competition. The fact that today is a public holiday will only help the film in a big way.

Rashmi's oomph factor, going by the trailer, may be said to be the biggest crowd-puller on day one. If the content is good, Antham could well strike gold this weekend.
