Just imagine the power clash at the box office, if at all Madhur Bhandarkar's 'Heroine' and Milan Luthria's 'The Dirty Picture' had released simultaneously. The movies would have been tough contenders with their promising storylines and remarkable actress in both. But unfortunately 'Heroine' has been delayed and the scales have been tipped towards 'The Dirty Picture' now.

Both Madhur and Milan's movies were expected to hit the screen in November this year. The movies more or less had also similar concept, where the actresses play the central roles. However, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's exit from the project owing to her pregnancy has put 'Heroine' on backburner. Whereas 'The Dirty Picture' is going steady on its shooting schedule. Consequently, the makers of the movie are more keen to release it in November itself.

'The Dirty Picture' stars Vidya Balan, Naseeruddin Shah, Emraan Hashmi and Tusshar Kapoor in lead roles. The movie is a biopic of late Silk Smitha, the sexy south actress and the film revolves around her lifestyle, her relationships, the actress's ups and downs in life, finally her tragic lonely death. The shooting of the movie is currently happening in Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad.
