In the role of a cop, he may be in the middle of some rustic and rooted action for 'Chakravyuha' which releases next month. However Arjun Rampal would be getting all stylised and high tech for his next action film 'D Day'.

The film would feature some ultra modern Hollywood style action and for that the makers have enrolled the services of an action director who has collaborated in quite a few notable films in the West.

"His name is Tom Struthers and he has worked on films as big as 'The Dark Knight', 'Inception' and 'Blood Diamond' to name a few", informs our source, "Since 'D Day' is going to be very high on action and is set as a big budget extravaganza, many names were considered.

Need of the hour was to rope in someone who carried an international vision and this is where Tom came in."

A Nikhil Advani film, 'D Day' would be going on floors in some time. However before that Arjun would also be preparing himself for all the action and plans are being put together to kick-start Tom's interaction with the film's cast and other members of the crew.

"If you look at aforementioned films where Tom has been a part of all the action, each of these has carried a different flavour to it. Arjun too is mighty excited since last year he is balancing his dramatic roles well with all the action.

His last out and out action film was 'Asambhav' and though in the interim period he has been seen getting his kicks and punches right with 'Ek Ajnabee' and 'Ra. One' to name a few, 'D Day' is going to take him into a different zone altogether", an insider adds.

Meanwhile there are also rumours of Shruti Hassan, Arshad Warsi and Huma Qureshi joining the cast of 'D Day' which is basically about a bunch of RAW agents who are assigned to bring Dawood Ibrahim back from Pakistan to Delhi.

While Arjun is said to be playing a RAW agent (and hence the requirement of all the stylised action), one wonders whether Arshad (in the role of Dawood) would be kicking some butt as well
