Director Vetrimaaran is gearing up to start his dream trilogy film Vada Chennai` starring Dhanush as the leading man. The films are jointly produced by Lyca Productions , Dhanush's Wunderbar Films and Vetrimaran`s Grass Root Film Company.

It was earlier announced that Samantha would be the heroine of Vada Chennai` but impending rumors about her wedding this year makes her a doubtful starter. Now news comes in that Amala Paul is in talks to play the female lead in the trilogy and sources add that she is on the verge of signing on the dotted line. Official confirmation is awaited.
