On February 17th this year, Malayalam actress was abducted and molested in a moving car in Kochi by a gang of six, who reportedly took pictures and videos of the actress to blackmail her. After Pulsar Suni's arrest, the main accused, it was widely reported in the media that it was Malayalam superstar Dileep who is the brain behind the abduction.

After reports started spreading like a forest fire, Dileep took to his Facebook page slamming the media for defaming him with false reports. He has also filed a complaint with the DGP for the same. And now, much to the shock of everyone with actor Dileep's official arrest, here's a look at how the entire drama unfolded.

Conspiracy begins in 2013

Dileep had nursed a grudge against the abducted actress since 2013 for informing his then wife Manju Warrier about his affair with Kavya Madhavan, whom he later married in 2017. Reportedly, the woman actor was responsible for the eventual separation between Dileep and his former wife Manju Warrier, which led Dileep to conspire against the actress.

Conspiracy to attack the actress began in late 2013, when Dileep began his planning with Pulsar Suni, the main accused in the case, at various locations in Kerala till the brutal attack that happened on February 17, 2017.

During the rehearsal of a stage show organized by AMMA, Dileep had an open spat with the actress and this is said to have provoked him to plot the "revenge". This had further triggered Dileep's enmity against the actress. Followed by this, Dileep and Suni first met at Abad Plaza hotel in Kochi. They decided to capture the video and blackmail the actress with the video which Dileep insisted should be original.

However, their first plan failed. Later in 2016, Dileep and Suni met at Thrissur during the shoot of 'Georgettan's Pooram' a movie acted by Dileep. They discussed the plot once again. It was Dileep who instructed Suni to capture the naked videos of the actress. To prove that the video is original, Suni was told to capture the naked video of the actress smiling and showing her engagement ring. A fee of Rs 1.50 Crores was fixed for committing the crime. He had also given Rs 10,000 as an advance for Suni.

When things started falling apart

After the crime was committed, shattering their plans, the abducted actress filed a police complaint and Suni absconded. The actor's driver was arrested on the same night, while two others were arrested in Coimbatore after two days. After 6 days since the crime happened, in a major breakthrough, the police arrested Pulsar Suni, the prime accused, on February 23rd, 2017. The accused were charged under Sections 366 (kidnapping), 376 (rape) of IPC and Section 66 of the IT Act.

Suni's letter to Dileep

When Dileep failed to make the payment, Pulsar Suni repeatedly tried to make phone calls from jail to the actor's manager Appunni and friend Nadirsha demanding his due. But Dileep was not responding. When Dileep continued to avoid Pulsar Suni`s calls, he wrote a letter to Dileep from jail. Pulsar Suni, wrote a letter to Dileep in jail on April 12. In the letter, Suni said, "Dileepetta, I am Suni. I am writing from jail. I am sending this letter with great difficulty. The man who brings this letter to you does not know anything about the case. He is just doing this for me. I had come to the shop in Kakkanad before I surrendered before the court in the case. I was told that everyone was in Aluva. I am writing to you now because I feel like my life has come to naught since I got tangled in the case." The letter was given to Dileep`s brother as Dileep was not at home. From the letter, it is clear that Dileep and Pulsar Suni shared a good friendship. Dileep turned it around to say he was being blackmailed and filed a case to the Police.

Marathon questioning for 13 hours

In connection with the case, actor Dileep, director Nadir Shah and Dileep's manager Appunni were interrogated for over 13 hours on June 28th at the Aluva police club, Kochi.

Apart from questions about their relationship with Pulsar Suni (the main accused of the case) and the abducted actress, Dileep and Nadirshah were also asked about the details of the blackmails received, asking to pay Rs 1.5 crore to avoid being dragged into the actress case. Police recorded their statements, in both written and video formats. After the interrogation, Dileep said to media he had given a detailed statement to the police and that he was confident.

As the interrogation extended for over 13 hours, actor Siddique and Nadirsha's brother Samad came to see them at the Aluva Police Club but were not allowed to meet the duo.

Controversial AMMA Meeting

On the very next day, June 29th, the Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes (AMMA) expressed their indirect support for Dileep. The dramatic meeting concluded by expressing their united stand on Dileep and Victim.

Raid at Kavya Madhavan's Boutique
Dileep's wife Kavya Madhavan's shop was raided by the police after Pulsar Suni mentioned a 'madam' in his letter. Reportedly, Pulsar Suni has even told the police that he had kept the memory card with photos and videos of the kidnapped actress at Kavya's online boutique Laksyah's office in Kakkanad.

What turned investigator's attention to Dileep?

Ever since Dileep`s name has been linked to the crime, the actor has been repeatedly denying knowing Pulsar Suni. But the duo had known each other from before. Dileep`s claim that he was not aware of the attack on the actress until producer Anto Jose called him on the morning after the assault. As Anto's call lasted only 12 seconds, Police smelled fishy. How could a person complete a call in just 12 secs after knowing the shocking incident that happened to a colleague? wondered the Police team, and so they extend the investigation on Dileep as well. To cement their belief, Police recovered pictures taken at shooting locations showing Dileep and Pulsar Suni in the same frame, which busts Dileep's claim that he did not even know Kumar.

The TWIST

On April 20, Dileep had alleged blackmail by a man, who claimed that he was a friend of the prime accused Pulsar Suni in the case. The actor also filed a complaint with the Director General of Police along with phone records evidences th
