"Every time I start a movie, I think it should be small. But as the shoot progresses, it becomes larger and huge budgeted. I am not used to thinking small ", says V.V.Vinayak.

Introducing Bellamkonda Suresh's son, Sai Srinivas, as the hero, he has directed the film, 'Alludu Seenu'. The film is set for a release on July 25th. On this occasion, Vinayak has talked about the journey of the film, his experiences working with the team, about Chiranjeevi's 150th film, about starting a production house etc in an interview.

Here are the excerpts from the interview

How is the journey of 'Alludu Seenu' ?

It is really a wonderful journey. We have shot the film for about 100 days. The shooting progressed very smoothly and we enjoyed every moment of this journey. The output of the film is very good and it reflects our hard work.

How is 'Alludu Seenu' going to be ?

'Alludu Seenu' is an out and out entertainer with all the commercial elements. Every scene will be entertaining and every song will be colourful. About 45 minutes in the second half will have non stop comedy.

Didn't you feel it a burden working with a new actor?

Bellamkonda Suresh is the producer, who had introduced me as a director. I felt it like my duty to introduce his son as the hero. I never felt it like a burden. When I saw Sai, when he was small , I said to Suresh that he should become a hero. When Suresh kept him in my hands I was more than happy. Many of my well wishers and relatives have asked me if it is important for me to work with a new actor. Even Suresh know it. But I said to them that it is my duty.

How is the working experience with Sai Srinivas ?

At first, I doubted how could he act with experienced actors like Brahmanandam, Prakash Raj etc. Even Samantha, Tamannaah are seniors to him in acting. But he acted so well that the audiences will not get the feeling that this is his first film. Chota K Naidu and I were surprised on the first day of the shoot seeing how free he was with Samantha, as if he had worked with her in 10 films previously.

As you worked for this film, feeling it as a duty, didn't you feel tensed ?

From the start, we have been very confident about the success of the film, because of the script. I never felt tensed during the shooting. But I felt it at the time of audio and trailer release, thinking how the audiences will receive him. But I am very happy now that everyone are appreciating Sai. I thank Devi Sri Prasad for the excellent music score.

How will be the characterization of hero in this film ?

The characterization of hero will be very powerful and energetic as in my previous films. But the dialogues are not lengthy. Hero is an orphan, who lives with a middle aged man (Prakash Raj) and calls him 'Mama' (uncle). How the hero has taken revenge on the people, who creates problems for Prakash Raj's character will be interesting.

Reason for roping in Samantha and Tamannaah for the film ?

It is Bellamkonda Suresh's decision to take them into the film. Samantha is a very pretty and talented actress. She has a very good following among the youth. When we have done the screen test, the pair of Sai and Samantha looked very good. So we have roped in her. Taking Tamannaah is also the decision of Suresh.

There is a buzz that the budget of this film is very high ?

If Sai is an existing hero in the industry, we can think of the budget, considering his market. But Sai is new and we only thought how to present him as a hero. We have not crossed the budget anywhere. But we have not compromised any where. Bellamkonda Suresh has given us the freedom regarding budget.

I have seen a picture of a beautiful place in Japan in a magazine. Knowing that that the place will be available only for a few days during the Christmas month, we went there processing everything with in a week. But we couldn't shoot comfortably there because of the unbearable freezing cold. Samantha felt it very difficult to shoot and even I panicked after a few shots. We were relieved getting out of the place.

You are famous for chase sequences and sumo blasts in your films. Are there any such scenes in this film ?

Actually I don't want to include any chase sequences or sumo blasts in this film. But one day, when we we were at an airport to go for a foreign location to shoot, an immigration officer asked me if there are any such scenes in this film and said that they will be disappointed if there are not any. I had the feeling then that audiences will not be satisfied without such scenes in my films and included them in the climax.

What about Chiranjeevi's 150th film in your direction ?

There are many chances that I will direct Chiranjeevi's 150th film, but nothing is yet finalized. Chiranjeevi has been hearing stories at present and I will talk about it later.

How do you want to see Chiranjeevi in his 150th film ?

I want to see Chiranjeevi like how we have seen him before. The movie should be very entertaining and should have a good climax.

Do you have any plans of making small films in the future ?

Everytime I start a movie, it would be small. But as the shoot progresses it becomes bigger and huge budgeted. I cannot restrict myself thinking small.

But I have plans to start a production house in one to two years. I will produce small films in it.

V.V.Vinayak concluded saying that 'Alludu Seenu' will be very entertaining and will attract every section of the audiences.
