Actor Soori is acting in one of the lead characters along with Vemal and Priya Anand in ‘Oru Oorula Rendu Raja’ that is being directed by R.Kannan who has given some memorable films like ‘Jeyamkondan’ and ‘Kanden Kadhalai’. In an exclusive interview to Indiaglitz, Soori has extensively spoken about the film, his character and working with Kannan.

'I am very happy to work with director Kannan'- Soori

“The title ‘Oru Oorula Rendu Raja’ itself depicts the importance of my role in the film. The film’s hero Vemal is one ‘Raja’ and I am the other ‘Raja’. Director Kannan has given four films so far and all of his films have had equal importance for comedy. This film will be no exception to that. I am sure this film will get me a good name like ‘Desinguraja’ and ‘Varuthapadadha Valibar Sangam’ for comedy.” This is what Soori had to say about his character in OORR.

Speaking about his co-actor Vemal, Soori said 'Working with Vemal has always been a joyful experience. We don’t behave like colleagues We are close friends even before acting together. So we will be jovial at the shooting spot both in front of and behind the camera. I need not ask the permission of Vemal to pull his leg while a scene is being shot and he will also react with a fitting counter. Kannan has many times told that we do not seem like acting for a film and our comedy scenes come out so naturally'

Soori expresses extreme happiness about working with a director like Kannan and also said that he gives enormous freedom for his actor. 'Kannan sir has given me a very good character in ‘Oru Oorula Rendu Raja’. This film will certainly elevate my career to the next level. He is very easy going. He has given enormous freedom for me as an actor. It’s a delightful experience to work with Kannan'.
