Saying that he did not go to Pawan Kalyan to invite him for the audio release function of Devaraya for sentimental reasons, Srikanth said that he invited him wholeheartedly. "Whenever a function takes place at Chiranjeevi's home, I attend it. Pawan Kalyan, however, stays usually away from pomp and show. I am happy that he has come here today", he said.

Srikanth said that he was always extra careful in portraying the character of Devaraya. "When we are doing a difficult character like that, any faux pas will invite ridicule. Besides that, I have played Dora Babu. If Devaraya is emotional, the other one is casual. Without missing on the entertainment factor, Veera Babu has penned very good dialogues."
