Nani’s latest film ‘Ala Modalayindi’ is slated for release on January 21.

The hero says, ‘After the release of ‘Ashta Chemma’, several producers and directors came with similar roles in their films. But I doesn’t want to do stereo type roles and do something different for each film and refused them. You can take a look of my characters in films like ‘Ride, Bheemili Kabaddi Jattu and the latest Ala Modalaindi’, all of them would be different from each other.’

Speaking about the projects which are on hand, he says, ‘Presently, I am playing hero in ‘Pilla Zamindar’ and ‘Eega’ of SS Rajamouli. I am also playing in a Tamil film ‘Veppam’ under the direction of Gautham Menon, which is all set for release very soon. I am not in a position to play in action films bashing hundreds of goons with one hand. I feel I am not really fit for high-voltage action films. Though there should be some action but it should be limited and blend rightly with the script. When it comes to ‘Ala Modalaindi’, I was impressed with the storyline narrated by Nandini, the director of the film. I have an acquaintance with her when I was working as assistant director and I am sure that the film has something difference in the ‘love’ thread in the storyline. I am confident about the success of the film.’
