Aasha Saini alias Mayuri, certainly believes in re-birth in the same life. Her star status collapsed after she was uncerimoniously arrested for allegedly applying for US visa on fake invitation. The actress later went on a hibernation for two years and is back with her Telugu movie 'Broker'. She changed her name to 'Mayuri' and also applied for Limca book of records for getting three releases on December 31st, which is the first time for an actress. Made with a shoe string budget of less than Rs 1 crore, the film is all set to get its money back.Back in the town, busy with her promotions and events, Mayuri is happy at her come back.

"I was working in Kannada and also offers didn't come my way in Telugu for sometime. But last week, I had two releases in Kannada and one in Telugu on the same day which is a record.I have J D Chakravarthy's film and a bilingual film in my kitty. Now that I did a Telugu film, I guess film makers here will cast me" honestly admits.

Mayuri has even bagged a Subhash Ghai's film in Hindi.Having worked in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil and Hindi films, she feels working in South is easier as the industry here is more professional and punctual than up north.

"I love working in south because people here are more dedicated and punctual. I hail from an army background and I love people who are disciplined. I get irritated when I am made to wait beyond a certain point of time.Schedules keep changing often in Hindi movie shoots. Here in South, everything is pucca. Once the movie goes on floor, no ego clashes are entertained and everything is well defined. In Hindi I did 'Love in Nepal' with Sonu Nigam and I stayed away from there.Shooting for a movie in Hindi means two years of time gone in it as schedules change in last minute. It affected my dates for Telugu movies and I didn't want to take a bad name." Mayuri explains.

Despite staying away from the limelight for two long years and when everyone thought she is out of showbusiness, Mayuri signed Subhash Ghai film which stars freshers and seasoned actors like Om Puri. How did the movie happen to her?

"I have known Subhash Ghai for long time. He has seen my work and asked me to work with him even earlier. Recently, he asked me to do one song for his film. Since I thought it is a matter of three days shoot, I agreed. He then asked me to do the whole film. He is a sweetheart and a dream to work with" says the actress who is working with fresh faces in this film which also stars

In an industry where out of sight is out of mind, Mayuri's hibernation for two years should have ruined her career. But she is on a movie signing spree despite a long break. Mayuri attributes it to her easy going nature.

"I adjust and my nature brought me work.I never threw tantrums. I took a concious break. It gave me thinking time and I did whatever I wanted to ever do.I come from defense familywith no star background. Films were never my first choice. I wanted to study but all said an done, I decided to come back. People are still expecting me back and I am thankful to the industry and audience.I did 'Aa Intlo' for which I was nominated for awards and I got to prove my acting skills and was potrayed differently from my usual glam doll roles.

She did films with stars like Venkatesh in 'Nuvvu Naaku Nachavu' and just when her career was supposed to skyrocket, she was arrested by Chennai Police. Did the controversy shatter her?

"It bothered me and nothing is over yet. I shall bring back my family pride.I learnt not to trust people blindly. I believed people . No matter how well the person may be known in the industry, don't blindly sign visa documents. I never double checked and I had to pay a heavy price for it. I didn't have to go to USA on a fake invitation. I believed it is a genuine and original invite. All I did was to believe him. I moved on and I did nothing wrong. The almighty knows that and so he is keeping me busy with work." she says with a confidence and hope.
