Director Bala's 'Tharai Thappattai' is on the post-production stage and the film is expected to hit the screens for Pongal 2016. The film stars Sasikumar and Varalakshmi Sarathkumar in lead roles. Music score has been rendered by Isaignani Ilaiyaraja and this is the veteran composer's 1000th feature film.

The much expected audio release of the film is expected to happen soon. Reliable sources reveal that the makers are planning to conduct the audio launch in a grand manner, as an event to honour Ilaiyaraja for working in 1000 films and also for getting the Centenary Award for Indian Film Personality of the Year in the International Film Festival of India 2015, conducted by the Information and Broadcasting Ministry of India.

We can expect an official announcement on the audio release date soon.

'Tharai Thappattai' has been produced by Bala under his B Studios banner.
