Only recently Simbu`s long delayed Vaalu` saw the light of the day mainly due to the timely intervention of Vijay who used his resources to ensure the smooth release of the film.

News is now coming in that the Illayathalapathy has given his shoulder to one of his old costars Goundamani by helping out his film `49-O` to have a release on the 17th of September which incidently is the original date set for Puli` which was pushed to October 1st.
