Shobha Chandrasekhar better known as Vijay's mom is also a veteran screenplay writer, director and singer in her own right. The multitalented personality has opened up about her son and of course his professional rival Ajith.

Shobha has stated that she does not consider Ajith as a competitor of Vijay but a friend and she said she even visited Shalini and Ajith when their baby was born. Her favourite Ajith films are 'Vaali','Aasai and 'Kadhal Kottai'.
