As we had reported earlier Illayathalapathy's 'Vijay 61' directed by Bharathan and co-starring Keerthi Suresh is all set to begin in a few days with the team planning a Diwali 2016 release.

Meanwhile, we hear from reliable sources that Vijay 61` in all probability will be produced by the prestigious Sivaji Productions banner and will be directed by Atlee who just delivered the blockbuster 'Theri' with Illayathalapathy. It is worth mentioning that Vijay is one of the lucky heroes of the younger generation to have shared screen space with the Nadigar Thilagam in Once More` and now will be acting in the banner started by the legend. Official confirmation is expected soon.
