'Puli' scores close to double of 'Baahubali'

Illayathalapathy Vijay`s Puli` may have been getting mixed to negative reviews from critics and social media users, but the films seems to have caught the fancy of women and children , thus garnering a box office receipt of close to Rs. 50 crores in the opening weekend worldwide.

It is reported that in Chennai alone Puli` has collected close to Rs. 3crores in the first weekend while Baahubali` managed Rs.1.75crores and it remains to be seen whether the fantasy film will go on to make history like its predecessor.
