The five Kannada films releases in this week is once again beyond the rules set in by Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce. The non Kannada films distributors are up in arms questioning this stand because they are taken to task when the prints of non Kannada films increase when it is releasing in Karnataka.

Why more than two films per week are releasing is what the section of non Kannada film distributors are questioning but KFCC President Basanthkumar Patil has no answer. In this month he has allowed six films releases and that is another lapse on the part of KFCC.

30th July 2010 – five Kannada films – ‘Gandedhe’, ‘Idhre Gopi Bidre Paapi’, ‘Nee Bandhu Nintaga’, ‘Gurukula’ and ‘Chandulli Cheluve’ are releasing.

Only ‘Gandedhe’ of prestigious Ramu banner starring Chiranjeevi Sarja and Ragini is the hope in the box office and four others are sure to bite the dust in the box office is what film pundits in Gandhinagar cast a wrong spell.

Three of the four films are in the cans for more than three years. It is only ‘Gurukula’ that was launched last year.

‘Chandulli Cheluve’ directed by Shyam L Siddaraju produced by Smt Anitha Shyam has a song the last one sung by C.Ashwath who passed away last year.

‘Guru Kula’ on the Gurukula system of ancient times by MS Films produced by HK Srinivas is based on the Adi Parva of the Mahabharatha. Sunil Puranik has directed this film with little masters Sachin, Sameer Puranik and Saurab. Mysore Gopi has scored the music and PKH Das is the cameraman.

Sudha Films KN Narasimha Raju on ‘Putra Vyamoha’ made this film starring his son Jagadish Raj. GV Rama Rao is the director of this film that has a real treat from national award winning actress Umasri. Ravi Shenoy ha scored the music. Madhusoodhan plays parallel hero to Jagadish Raj. Bindhusri and Spoorthi are heroines of this film. Bank Janardhan, Doddanna, Mimicry Rajagopal and others are in the supporting roles.

‘Nee Bandhu Nintaga’ claims that it has a unique climax that has not come so far. Saurav in the cinema industry since a long time is eagerly waiting for success from this film directed by Shekar C Sharavanan. Rishika Sri is the heroine of this film. Indrajith has scored the music and Mathew Rajan is the cameraman.
