Despite releasing in 100 theatres less than the number of theatres in which Manam released, Soggade Chinni Nayana created a record for Nagarjuna as on the end of Day 8. The film grossed Rs. 23.20 cr., the highest ever firs week collections of a Nag film.

Going very strong in almost every type of centre, it added more number of theatres in week two now that there was no paucity of theatres.

The Nizam and Ceded figures are learnt to have totalled Rs. 11 cr.

The characterizations of Nag's Bangarraju and Ramu, and of course, Ramya Krishna's presence have worked wonders for the film. Female audiences are found to be enjoying the film to the hilt. Nag is still the desirable 'manmathudu' of the industry!
