Yet again, this week there would be no new Bollywood films to hit the screens. With the trend all set to continue for the rest of the month, the only film in the running stays on to be 'Tanu Weds Manu'. Before the release of the film, who would have thought that it would well turn out to be the second highest grosser after 'Yamla Pagla Deewana' this year? However this has indeed happened now with this Madhavan and Kangana starrer all set to beat 'No One Killed Jessica' after comfortably crossing the 30 crores mark.

The film was quite strong in it's second week as well and collected close to 9 crores to cross the 27 crores mark. Third weekend was good as well which helped the film go past the 30 crores milestone. Now that's a huge total for a medium budget film which didn't even come with as much hype as some other major films of the year like '7 Khoon Maaf', 'Patiala House' or 'Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji'. However as things stand today, the collections of 'Tanu Weds Manu' would cross each of these three films as it eyes the 35 crores mark.

There is a lot for director Aanand L Rai to cheer about since the film's run is not just restricted to theaters. After it's run ends (once 'Game' and 'F.A.L.T.U' release on 1st April), the film is bound to gain good audience for itself on satellite and home video circuits as well. A clean hit that has managed monetary as well as reputation gains.
