Gautham Menon, who is directing a couple of films in Tamil starring Allu Aravind and Silambarasan respectively, is keen to go to Bollywood.

Gautham's 'Varanam Aayiram' starring Suriya was talked about a lot and now the director has expressed his desire to work with prominent actors in the industry.

Denying rumors that he would be working with Salman Khan soon, Gautham said, 'I met several actors. Akshay Kumar, the latest heart-throb of Bollywood, voluntarily expressed his interest to work with me. He had seen some of my films including 'Varanam Aayiram' and 'Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu'.

Interestingly, many directors from Tamil Cinema have gone on to make their marks in Hindi. A. R. Murugadoss is the latest and has had phenomenal responses all over India with 'Gajini'.

Gautham will most probably be the next director to make the journey from Kollywood to Bollywood as is evident with comments like this. 'I would love to work with Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan. Hopefully it happens soon'.
