One more Kannada cinema with ‘Hanuman’ in the title after success of ‘Bhajarangi’ hit the silver screen. That was in the combination of Dr Shivarajakumar and Harsha as director, now it is in the combination of Ajay Rao and Ravi Verma as director has taken a moderate opening.

This is ‘Jai Bhajarang Bhali’ – the protagonist with power of lord Anjaneya gets courage to put down false charges levelled on him is the crux of the film.

A film started three years ago by director of ‘Sangama’ Ravi Verma has only a few interesting elements in the film. The fact is that cool and feel good films actor Ajay Rao taking on action does not match him. The screenplay of this film is the main hero of the film and the biggest villain is background score. Journalist Vinayak Ram Kalagaru has given interesting lines in his dialogues. Music is also admirable factor of this ‘Jai Bhajarang Bhali’.

Ajjy alias Ajay (Ajay Rao) is on deal to lead his life. To the eyes of audience he is a thief and so is in the case of police. Ambujakshi (Sindhu Lokanath) accidentally meet this Ajju but qualified Ambujakshi is on a mission to unite her parents who are at loggerheads. She goes to Lord Hanuman temple with Ajju and this is where the problem comes. Rs.10 crore Hanuman Idol made out of gold is stolen and the onus comes on the two. In the second half we come to know that it is the friends of Ajju are real culprits. Before that Ajju and Ambujakshi are running around places to keep away police.

Ajju gives the police from the same coin by kidnapping daughter a tough cop. When Ajju traces that his friends have cheated him the revolt is inevitable to fetch Lord Hanuman statue.

Ajay Rao is moderate in his performance. The real anger in him has not come. He is good in dance and romantic moods. Sindhu Lokanath looks very sweet and her natural performance is asset of the film. Ananthnag, Shruthi Naidu as estranged couple given their best. Ravishanker and Shobaraj in cop and don roles are admirable.

Endendu Ninagaagi....Hrudyada Battery Khali....Ramasway....songs are good in scorings from V Harikrishna.  Venkatesh camera work is supportive to the mood of the film.

Score 6/10
