Actor Jai's next with director Thiru went to floors from yesterday (April 22) with a traditional pooja here in Chennai.

The untitled film is said to be an action entertainer and will feature Taapsee as the female lead and will be shot extensively in Kumbakonam and Chennai. Thaman will be scoring the music and Sushant Prasad`s Film Department is producing the film.

Producer Sushant Singh announced on his Twitter page tweeting, "Pooja happened today in ACS office. sentimental place for me as we kick started Mankatha with a pooja in the place"

Dhayanidhi Alagiri, Jai, Samuthirakani, Sathish, Thaman and many others graced the pooja held yesterday.
