Suresh Gopi after a long gap is teaming up with Joshy, the director who had created  a number of hits with him like Pathram and Vazhunoor. This time too the scene is set for an action thriller which is sure to become a commercial potboiler.

The story, as is the trend in every recent film is happening in a border village -  Veerakudi. This village is virtually ruled by Devarayar - a man of pride and power. Years ago he reached Veerakudi as an orphan brought by a truck driver, who called him Raayar after the name of his truck. The parents of this child were killed as suspected Naxalites, following a cruel plot. He avenges his parent's death and on the way of the escape got into the truck which brought him to his new abode.

Years later, he became Devaraayar, a multi faced businessman and the owner of a large fleet of trucks. He is involved in all the social issues of the village, and he finds a way out for the problems faced by the village with his muscles and money. By helping the needy children and using his trucks, normally used for smuggling illicit liquor for supplying drinking water, he captures the hearts of his fellow villagers. Thereby, his word becomes the law of the village. The collector of the district was a girl whom he helped to educate. In the course of time Valli, the daughter of the truck driver who brought him to the village and gave him shelter seeks him and they gets united in the nuptial knot.

Devarayar's  whose  power and prestige spread far beyond the confines of the village, enjoys the support and patronage of Vaikundam, a minister. Many other politicians regularly seeks his help to sort out the problems of the village and to increase their influence over the area.

All has been going on well till the arrival of Kaliyappan to the village. He is coming from jail with too much fury for Devarayar. Things become difficult for Devarayar after Kaliyappan arrives on the scene. Why is Kaliyappan finding an enemy in Devarayar. The secret plot unfolds to build up a suspenseful thriller.

The film has three females in the lead -- Gopika, Samvritha and Karthika. Bijumenon, Jagathy, Cochin Haneefa, Raju, and Anil Murali share other important roles in the film. Shibu Chakravarthy and Ouseppachan handles the music department of the film. The film produced by Sasi in th banner of Tharangini films is all set for an early release.
