Japanese inventors at the Cartivator Project are working hard on an ambitious project to launch their flying car SkyDrive by the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.

Business director Ryutaro Mori said that the special purpose of the one-seater SkyDrive is to carry the person who will light the Olympic flame at the 2020 Olympics.

SkyDrive will be the smallest flying car and will reach an airborne speed of 100 kilometres per hour and a speed of 150 kilometres per hour on land. If Japan is to claim glory to be the first one have made the flying car a reality, it will have to beat the US, the UAE, Germany, China and Netherlands first.
