What when two intellectuals fall in love what transpires is the crux of my film Pori, says director Subramania Siva, who is directing Jeeva and Pooja for the movie.

If my earlier movie Thiruda Thirudi was all about a carefree youth, Pori is straight opposite to it. It is all about a responsible and an enlightened youth.

Jeeva plays the hero who runs a bookshop in the name of social reformer Periyar and strives for the welfare of the society. He comes across an educated girl Pooja, who is like-minded. ‘When romance develops between the two, it leads to a lot of interesting turn of events’, says the director.

Jeeva, who has proved his acting skills with Ram and Dishoom is thrilled about working in the movie, while for Pooja, it's a role where she gets more opportunity to perform, adds Subramania Siva.
