It is well known that Actor Jeeva of Lollu Sabha fame acted as a dupe for Rajinikanth in ‘Kochadaiiyaan’ which is the first Indian film to be made with Motion Capture technology. The film had been directed by Rajini’s daughter Soundarya Ashwin.

Ever since Jeeva revealed that he has acted as dupe for Rajini in the film, several rumors suggesting that Rajini was replaced by Jeeva in many crucial scenes including the fight scene between Rajini and Deepika Padugone in the film and the much favoured Rudra Thandavam dance sequence. Another rumor suggested that Jeeva was not properly credited for his role in the film and he has been cheated by the makers.

Jeeva's clarification about his role in 'Kochadaiiyaan'

Jeeva has made it clear in a recent interview that all these claims are baseless. He has said that Rajini acted in 80% of his scenes in ‘Kochadiiyaan’ and Jeeva had to replace him only in very few scenes to avoid heavy work pressure for the star who had just recovered from a serious ailment. Jeeva also rubbished claims that he has been cheated by the makers. He said the film’s director Soundarya has given what she promised for him while signing the film. The small screen actor also noted that his name was credited as ‘Rajinikanth Dupe Jeeva’ during the end credits of the film but that went unnoticed.

Jeeva also conveyed his happiness to have worked in the film and said that he considers acting as a dupe to Rajinikanth as a privilege of his lifetime.
