A technician working in Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited Mahantesh Madhakari takes up his long standing dream of directing a Kannada cinema. He has sought permission to direct and in the case of government job it was not possible to sail in two boats.

Mahantesh Madhakari hailing from Davanagere has long experience in state plays, street plays and writing dialogues for a few Kannada films got the idea of keeping Jerk` as title in one of the pilot run between 4 and 5 am in Metro train. It is at this time the train moves in 20 kilometers speed clearing all obstacles on the rail so that the movement of train is hassle free from 6 am. When he found many stops for getting green signal to move, he thought of such a disturbance in life.

He has worked for no payment for three years. Later he realized the importance of earning because he has three sisters at his native village in Davanagere. He joined BMTC and also worked in KSRTC Gulbarga division. Finally he settled down for Rs.25000 salary in Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited. From the young age he has affinity to writing. Written four plays and dialogues for four films and follows Jayathirtha style of work. A message with entertainment is his motto. Today life is going in 150 kilometre speed. It often gets jerks in the form of humps on the roads. They are like Huli and Hebbuli trouble the journey. A team that go on a journey but get caught in the forest, how do they escape is the crux of climax in this film Jerk`.
