There have been love triangles. And there also have been love quadrangles. More often than not, such stories involving love are enriched with dollops of emotions, sentiments and tears.

But JHOOM BARABAR JHOOM is different.

It is a love quadrangle, yes, but it gets a treatment as any feel good light hearted entertainer coming from the stable of Yash Raj Films is expected to get. With loads of fun, smiles, laughter, hungama, music, song and dance, JHOOM BARABAR JHOOM is the third directorial outing for Shaad Ali who has SAATHIYA and BUNTY AUR BABLI to his credit.

This quadrangle is about Rikki [Abhishek Bachchan]-Anaida [Lara Dutta] and Alvira [Prety Zinta]-Steve[Bobby Deol]. Or is it Rikki-Alvira and Anaida-Steve? Well, we will come to that later!

Rikki is a street-smart guy? Or shall we call city smart chap? For him, living life is simple - Help people out with what they want and fill up your own pocket. Even if that means getting into illegal activities involving pirated DVDs, antiques, properties and hold-on, even getting into deals involving second hand fridges! For him no work is big or small. It is the way to do it and the gain it gets which is big or small.

Hailing from Punjab and lodging himself in Southall, he looks at ruling over the city. And it is not just the intrinsic skills he has which makes him do so. No, instead it is his sheer so-called-belief of immense class he has that makes him believes so. And by the way, one look at his looks, body language, mannerisms, wardrobe and the talk and one would love to look into the dictionary to get an actual meaning of class!

A female who is completely opposite to him is Anaida. An Assistant Manager at The Ritz Hotel, Paris, she had the finesse that every woman working at a top position in hospitality industry is expected to carry. A smart-working woman, she had a soft heart that made her cry when Princess Diana died after she left The Ritz for the last time! She also gave her heart away to Rikki in their very first few meets as they sung, dance and made merry together!

Well, the same was soon to happen to Alvira too. But then who was Alvira? She was a Pakistani Brit who was more Brit that any regular Brit and was less Pakistani that anyone could ever imagine. Promising herself in the childhood days itself that one fine day she would marry a 'gora', she loved the class of Brits and adored them on her job as a Manager at the House of Frasers.

Carrying a Princess attitude throughout and looking for her Prince charming to sweep her away, she did meet one eventually. No, it was not Rikki. It couldn't be. Instead it was Steve, a millionaire and immensely rich joint partner of London's reputed Singh & Smith Law firm. With deadly looks and personality, courtesy a Brit mother and a Punjabi father, Steve was what any girl would have wanted. And Alvira wasn't any ordinary female. For her, Steve was the one made for her and soon they did find themselves in each others arms. Not conventionally, but through an accident. They met at Madame Tussaud's where Steve saved her from a falling Superman model. They were in each other's arms, only dreaming to stay the same way forever.

Well, almost!

Rikki and Alvira ended up meeting each other at London station where they were waiting for their finances to arrive. To spend those two hours of waiting, they ended up talking to each other about their respective to-be-partners! And life was never the same again for them! Getting attracted to each other, they were getting into a complicated situation.

Thank goodness that they were not alone! Because in the train, Anaida and Steve were going through the same emotions!

The question for every heart was to decide one of the two<
