Kattradhu Thamizh was released in 2007, but its dubbed version will be released in Telugu now. Following the recognition Jiiva has been enjoying since the release of Rangam, the producers want to reap a harvest on it. The film's Telugu avatar will be titled as Dare.

Dare, with the tag line ''Daring men die only once', is the story of a frustrated youth who has a grouse with the system. He is angry with the system which doesn't reward the best talent in a fitting manner. The Tamil original sees Jiiva in the role of a disgruntled psychopath.

Starring Anjali as the female lead, Dare is directed by Ram and produced by MSV Productions. Shashank Vennelakanti says that the film has got many situations that will be a good movie-watching experience for the audience.

Story and screenplay are also by Ram. Produced by G Murali, the film's music director is Yuvan Shankar Raja.

It is not common to see years-old films dubbed in Telugu. Although the success rate of such films is arguable, Dare stands fair chances given the novelty and Jiiva's newly-acquired image.
