Despite a success like 'Garam Masala', Akshay Kumar and John Abraham didn't come together for over half a decade before 'Desi Boyz' came calling. Many attributed this to the oft repeated charge that came Akshay's way about cutting short the roles of his co-stars. Even though these conversations seem to have mellowed down over a period of time, John is feels that it is totally unfair to label Akshay of being a 'scene snatcher' when there is no iota of truth behind that.

"See, there are always bound to be rumours around fall outs and all when two actors come together," says John, "No such thing ever happened before or during 'Desi Boyz'. Also, he would never do anything like that to anyone. On the contrary Akshay has always been gracious with me and has been like an elder brother. He has held my hands and ensured that I have sailed by smoothly."

One wonders whether this love and affection has been sudden or is a result of a sustained relationship ever since the 'Garam Masala' days; reason being that they never did any film in the interim period.

"Let me tell you honestly, it has been great with Akshay ever since 'Garam Masala'," says John in an earnest tone, "Back then I was raw and had to grow my comic timing. Today five years later both of us are in this men-men role. I personally feel to have grown further as an actor and Akshay has a role to play in that. Today when the chemistry between us in 'Desi Boys' is talked about, I know how it has been made possible. Being with Akshay helps because you get to learn a lot from him. He is someone who has made a huge contribution to the positive energy I feel around me."

Well John, we look forward to this positive energy on display once this Rohit Dhawan directed film releases all over on 25th November.
