Actress Devayani gave birth to a baby girl at a private hospital in Chennai on Monday.

The actress, who won the admiration of masses playing homely roles and acting with almost all top actors, married director Raja Kumaran after falling in love with him during the shooting of Vinnukkum Mannukkum.

Devayani made a successful entry into small screen playing the lead in Kolangal and her role as Abhi is popular all over Tamil Nadu in every household now.

She was admitted to a hospital, a couple of days and gave birth to a baby girl on Monday.

A host of actors and actresses have congratulated the couple.
