A few days ago, Taapsee Pannu had opined that female stars don't get paid the kind of remuneration that male stars receive even when they headline the star cast. Even when a heroine's female-centric movies rake in big moolah, the remuneration is not commensurate.
Jyothika, who recently began her second innings in Tamil cinema, is of the view that female-centric movies receive a raw deal at the box office. "The situation is such that a male-centric movie, even if it's a bad movie, runs to packed houses for 3-4 days, while a female-centric movie with good content is removed from the theatres pretty fast," the actress says.
