Jyothirmayi, on a high in Tamil after the success of Naan Avanillai, is now working in a Malayalam film named Bodhi, in which she plays the role of a Buddhist mendicant Maatangi.

The film is based on Pandaalabhikshuki, a book by Kumaran Ashaan.

Jyothirmayi is playing the title role of Maatangi in the film. Theatre director G Ajayan is going to direct this film.
