`Khadimaru' is a straight lift from Hindi cinema `Plan' (2004 January release, a thriller Hindi film starring Sanjay Dutt in debut director Hriday Shetty) - but proper planning for this film is lacking. The protracted scenes and uninspiring acting adds to boredom! One sensuous song in the first half and one in the second half would draw the crowd is the belief of this maker.
For the first time Priyanka Chandra appears in a seductive song that reminds of the `bits' added in the rural theatres on demand by the cinema halls. The second half song for Madhuri is erotic. The camera angles unnecessarily shifts to ups and downs.
The benefactor from this film will be Priyanka Chandra. The costumes, bathroom shots with Ajith are daring and baring - Ajith releases the tight fitting in the bath scene of Priyanka and back of the beauty with water flowing..it demanded U/A for the film. Priyanka is nervous throughout the song and the feel of making a mistake by accepting this kind of song is evident. She looks disturbed and for a change the navel of Ajith she applies the kiss (it is a reverse case indeed).
Come on, what is `Khadimaru' - the explanation is going more on `Khama'! Four youths - Pradeep, Sanjay, Ajith and Tilak come to city to prosper in life. They are left with no money. They decide to kidnap an affluent Prince (Deepak). They are not aware that he is an underworld don. When they realize it is good for the underworld don Prince because around the same time he was supposed to be gunned down by his opponent gang.
After `Maramari' even the don Prince realizes that village life is best and packs his luggage with four youths.
Thilak looks handsome and macho. He is an aspirant to become a superstar. He goes to film chamber of commerce asking for a role! This is height of innocence indeed!
Deepak looks reserved don, three youths looks lost. Madhuri physical appearance in long shot is OK. Music director MS Maruthi does not show any promise cameraman Niranjan Babu is very active in two sensuous songs in the film.
Khadiyodhe Namma weaknessu! Ha Su Rajasekhar adds one more to the list of films.
