Kahaani remake shaping up for Tamil and Telugu

The remake of the film Kahaani, which was a blockbuster in Bollywood is being planned to be done in Tamil and Telugu. The film, which had Vidya Balan in the lead portrayed a mysterious crime story and was greatly appreciated by fans and critics equally soon after it's release. Now it appears that Tollywood filmmaker Sekhar Kammula will be taking up the project and making it as a bilingual.
Sekhar has six Nandi awards under his belt has made several successful films such as Happy Days, Anand, Life is Beautiful etc. in Telugu. He is likely to be helped by Sujoy Ghosh who directed the original film. Rumours suggested that Anushka will be playing the lead in the film, but it was quickly denied. ÂThe rumours that Anushka will play Vidya BalanÂs role in the remakes are not true. They are looking at different actors for the project and are yet to finalize the cast" said a source close to the team.
