The photo shoot of Superstar Rajinikanth`s new film Kabali` directed by Ranjith happened on the 21st of August with Radhika Apte flying in from Mumbai.

Kalaiarasan who impressed all with his riveting performance as Anbu in Madras` also attended the shoot and when Ranjith introduced him Rajini called him as Kalai and according to the actor, he froze and does not remember any other word the Superstar spoke to him. Kalai said that late at night when he went home, he still did not recover and thanked his stars that a person whom he had adored like a God and seen the first day first show and danced and threw flowers when he appeared on screen uttered his name.
