Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Kabali' released last Friday (July22) and today it has stepped into its second week with many theaters retaining the number of shows allotted for the film in the first week. This is because the Malaysian don flick directed by Pa.Ranjith has been doing phenomenally well in centers across Tamil Nadu, India and overseas locations despite getting mixed reviews from critics.

Yesterday (July 28) the 'Kabali' producer Kalaipuli.S.Thanu conducted a success party in which director Ranjith and other important cast and crew members of the film participated and addressed the media.

Thanu in his speech confirmed that the film has collected Rs.320 crores overall in just six days of release (July 22-July 27). 'Kabali' is the first direct Tamil film to touch the 300 crore mark that too in its first week itself.

That's a fantastic achievement and a new milestone in Thalaivar's career filled with many blockbusters.
