How often does a female villain by the Epic era inspire the creators? Indeed very often. However, for the first time in Telugu, a serial based on the character of Mandara from the Ramayana has been made. It will go on air from Nov. 28 in the prime time slot.
Guess who is playing Mandara? It is actress Kalyani. ÂThough my character is negative, it has a soft side to it. The audience are fed only with 'attha-kodallu', husband-wife serials these days. In contrast, Mandara is different.
The serial is written by Sai Achyuth Chinnari. Ravi Varma of Sravanthi fame is the main lead of the serial.
