Kamal chairs FICCI conclave

The two-day FICCI Media and Entertainment Business conclave has kick-started in Chennai. Chaired by Kamal Haasan, the two-day meet will discuss and debate on various issues affecting the film and media industries.

The conclave will emphasise on special reference to the digital world and see participation from industrialists and film industry folks apart from members of the public and other areas like TRAI and the censor board.

There will also be a small play directed by K Balachander. Captains of the industry from all over the country, including those from Kollywood (Nadigar Sangam president R Sarath Kumar, Producers Council chief SA Chandrasekaran) will deliver speeches on various topics.

"Kamal has taken painstaking efforts to ensure that the conclave is a grand success. Always known for batting for technology, the actor believes that adopting to new techniques will alone take the industry to next level. This idea of him will reflect at the event," a source close to Kamal tells us.
