Kamal to visit Tiruchendur

'Ulaganayagan' Kamal Haasan who keeps himself busy with various aspects of films makes it a point to attend public function which may not be connected full film industry.

Now at a time when his upcoming film 'Thoongavanam' is racing against the time for hitting the Deepavali release deadline, the multi-talented actor has consented to attend an event organised in respect of the founder of a famous Tamil newspaper.

Kamal Haassan will be grace the unveiling of the statue of C.P.Aditanar the founder of popular Tamil Daily Dina Thanthi. The event is going to be held in Thiruchendur, a coastal city towards the southern tip of Tamil Nadu.

C.P.Aidthanar is credited with inculcating the habit of reading newspapers for even the not well educated Tamils by presenting news relating to various fields in very lucid language that is understandable and relatable even to a layman. Kamal Haasan who is known to be a voracious reader in Tamil and English has many times acknowledged Dina Thanthi's contribution in drawing his interest towards Tamil language and reading habit.
