The well-organized Thoongavanam`, trailer and audio launch event started with the welcome address by Kaviperarasu Vairamuthu who has penned the only song in the film that was released today.

The ace lyricist spoke in his indomitable poetic style retaining his usual majestic diction in Tamil.

"Kamal Haasan is World Actor who acts in Tamil language. People have travelled 5 yrs. 10 years and 15 years in this industry. Jaambavan and historic achievers have successfully travelled for 30 years. Kamal is the only person who has crossed 50 years and still continues his journey. This is no ordinary feat. A small hindrance is enough for someone to be chased away from a department. A lawyer, otice or a IT raid, court order a flop, loss and defeat is enough. He has come across all these and is still unshaken.

For 'Thoongavanam' II wrote the song.`Neeye unakku raja unadhu thalaiye unadhu kreedam thozha` keeping Kamal in mind. When he sang the song he said that this song is about his fans.

Calendar says Kamal`s age is 60. Our mind says his age is 30. People like kamal should not face loss at all. As long as they win it is good for Tamil Cinema, its workers and for the state. He spends his money earned again in cinema. He has the habit of giving hands for people growing along with him.

Viaramuthu invited the film`s music composer Ghibran, director Rajesh.M.Selva and also Kamal Haasan.

As the poet had to leave early Kamal gave a short speech and remembered how they teamed up for the first time.

"Vaanam enakkoru Bodhi maram naalum enakku oru seidhi tharum:. I heard this song in Ilaiyaraja`s music studio and these two lines were enough for me to select Vairamuthu. That`s how we got songs like Andhi Mazhai Pozhigiradhu`. Andha Mazhai innum peidhu kondirukkiradhu. Our journey still continues."
