Though Kamal Haasan has been a staunch atheist and he has never hided this fact in public meetings, the superlative impact he has made with his personal self and art have made his fans fondly address him as God. 'Alwarpettai Andavar' has been one of the titles that is being used by Kamal Haasan fans to address the star.

Kamal has however dissuaded people from referring to him as the God as he is convinced that God is someone who does not exist.

Today in the audio and trailer launch of his upcoming film 'Thoongavanam' the fans who had gathered kept shouting as 'Andavar' to gain his attention. When a Kamal took the mike for his speech he came up with a fitting replacement for the title which he is not okay with. He said 'Pagalavan' sounds better to him than 'Andavar'.

'Pagalavan' is one of the Tamil words to refer the Sun which is the unique and eternal. Fits well for the 'Ulaganayagan' indeed.
